Off the Grid Life

Off The Grid Life

This blog is about topics involved with living off the grid and the gravity of that choice to do so. Solar power, Wind Power, Water Power will be featured. Some of the links in this post I may receive a small commision, so if you find this information useful, it will just be my thanks for helping in your decision.

it's still in development.

WHY NOW?

More and more we need to focus on what we can do to reduce our own personal impact, because when it comes to environmental change, it becomes a concern of the world's citizens.

That is what we all are, GLOBAL CITIZENS. This world we find ourselves living on, has no nook, cranny or crack that hasn't been  affected by the results of our own progress.

Through sheer ignorance of the climate in our quest for progress has opened up NEW WORLDS of enlightenment and understanding.

So, as GLOBAL CITIZENS, we are the only ones responsible that elicited this change so it falls upon us once again to revert our mistakes of our past ignorance.

Collectively, if we all take it upon ourselves (Be the change you want to see in the world) and we can achieve this seemingly insurmountable task simply by changing things in our own daily lives.

Take the time to reflect on the things in your own daily life that would reduce your own impact on the environment.
I'm not saying go out and start picking up garbage and scrap around your block, or neighbourhood. Even though that would be good to help influence others to do the same, but we are focussing on just our own selves.

We have been indiscriminately polluting our atmosphere for centuries, we can't expect to change this at the flip of the switch, but with nature's help we CAN help repair what we have done.
It was both our fault and ignorance through our focus on progress that we find the climate is in this state of distress.

WE NEED TO CHANGE OUR COLLECTIVE MINDSET!

"There is no change if nothing changes."
Change Your Mind, Change the times.

Change takes time and lots of collective effort.

Many governments now offer added incentives to homeowners and businesses that convert from conventional to GREEN ENERGY or Sustainable Resources.

Many resist because they simply can't afford the upfront costs of conversion. Business are slowly getting onboard and soon many more will follow the trend. Probably as costs start to come down.

Off Grid living takes lots of work but doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your creature comforts anymore, TV, internet, etc even satellite TV.

Some also enlist conservation and preservation methods of food and water. Growing, harvesting, gathering, storage are all facets to learn and expand your capacities to greater enjoyment.
